This mala necklace keeps a quiet, weathered calm, hand-strung to a full meditative length. Pale sky-blue glass beads and warm sandalwood rounds alternate along the strand, marked by speckled Dalmatian stone, faceted smoke-grey crystal, and small gold-plated hematite and brass beads that lift the whole piece.
At its center hangs a vintage amulet of a seated Buddha, its figure gone soft green with age and set into an elaborate hand-soldered pewter frame. Designed in the spirit of a mala, it carries the stillness of a figure that has been sitting a very long time.
